We are proudly committed to lifelong learning and mentoring within our field of expertise. At Silk, we do this by offering industry-recognised accredited courses. We are registered with IOSH as an approved training provider.
Awareness Training sessions and CPD sessions are often included within our packages as part of our ‘added value’ commitment to clients.
Further training courses are under development and will be available soon.
As a natural extension of our services, we can provide support with audit programmes for UK roll-outs, business and operational level or targeted projects. We can also help businesses meet their KPI’s and SHEQ objectives by developing bespoke audit programmes that are truly functional and specific to business activities and the systems they need to operate within. Dashboard reporting is a regular function of our audits to interpret and demonstrate results and help target areas for improvement or further development.
Industry clients, government bodies and estate managers often prefer to use contractors that are registered with SSIPs as this provides evidence of a company’s approach to quality, and a commitment to continual improvement and good safety management. CHAS, Constructionline and Achilles are examples of SSIP member schemes that expect assessments to be completed. SSIP assessments are judged on core criteria approved by the HSE.
These accreditations demonstrate a company’s commitment to Health and Safety. They also illustrate that minimum health and safety standards required by CDM Regulations 2015 have been achieved. Developers, clients, government departments, public bodies, large contractors and others who procure design and construction services routinely prefer to use accredited providers when making selections for service delivery on projects.
Silk Safety Ltd is ideally placed to help businesses gain these accreditations and ensure processes are in place to help maintain them.
